Tools are like swimsuits.
Which one fits you?
Tools are like swimsuits. Your body shape and your personality determine which one fits you. And yes, sometimes you do want to get beach body ready because it will benefit you long term.
One of the most common questions I hear when talking about
#sociallistening is: what tool do you recommend?
I always reply: it depends. What do you want to do with it? Do you have the resources for it? Will you onboard the entire team or just one specialist? What are your goals and KPIs for your social listening program?
Think about it this way. You choose a full-body swimming suit for a swimathon, but you choose a bikini when you want a tan.
Similar to tools. If you want your tool to do the heavy lifting aka integrate with CRMs, support social care and demand gen programs, and have publishing capabilities, you might need to choose a full-body swimming suit for the support it can provide. Think of complex tools like Sprinklr and Synthesio.
If you want to identify trending topics and influencers, maybe you can choose the sexy bikini that looks good and photographs amazing. You can customize visual reports that are easy to share with decision-makers who do not understand a Boolean query (or care about it!).
Tools are like swimsuits. I've worn both, but you need to choose for yourself. Or provide me with all the data so I can make an informed recommendation when you ask me what tool to choose.
